Although they are both well built and easy to clean, consumers have rated the Ascent A3300 above its counterparts because it can achieve better-textured blends, whereby ranking it to the #16th position out of 112 because of its improvement as a newer model. On the other hand, the A2300 is ranked #35th position.

Considering the popularity of these two models, let us see how they both perform. Below is a detailed comparison of both the A3300 and A2300 when it comes to features and specifications.

Motor Base & Power

Although both models provide the same motor power, you can still enjoy the benefits of a high-performance blender base with the A3300. The A2300 is powered by a 2.2 horsepower motor, likewise the A3300. The motor is designed to run for minutes without experiencing overheating. Additionally, the A3300 motor base is of a fantastic build quality material.

Also included in the powerful motor base is a cooling fan and a thermal protection system for security purposes. The cooling fan prevents the base from overheating and if eventually, it starts heating, the thermal system will enable your machine to shut down automatically as that is what it is designed to perform.

Container Size & Material

When it comes to pitchers, the A2300 and A3300 feature the same quality material. Aside from that, the containers are both of the same size. The A3300 container capacity is measured to be a 64-Ounce capacity Jar. Likewise the A2300 container.

The 64Oz capacity low profile container is big enough to make large blends and it is an ideal one for those with a large household. Plus the Smart Jar is designed to fit in the motor base in other to help identify the jar size and automatically adjust the speed level for the selected container.

In this case, I can say there is no difference between the model’s motor power.

Blades Size & Materials

The A2300 and A3300 blades are the same sizes. They both have 4 count blades that are 4inch diameter long and designed to fit in the container without slacks. The blades are made from laser-cut Stainless Steel materials and are capable of cutting into pieces through ingredients. Plus they are BPA-free and dishwasher safe. No difference in container material and size.

Control settings

Like every other Vitamix model, the Ascent A3300 and A2300 have the same basic control features. This includes 10-variable speed settings, a pulse button and a switch toggle. The Variable speeds allow you to choose between what speed level you want your blender to run on. This means you can adjust your model to run on the lowest or highest speed level to achieve precise blending results.

Aside from the variables, in which speed 1 means the lowest level and 10 means the highest level, the Pulse function enables you to blend tough ingredients by holding and blasting the recipe. The switch means you can simply mean you can turn on/off your machine anytime.

Preset modes

When it comes to preset modes, guess what! Unlike the A2500 and A3500 with preset modes, the A2300 and A3300 have no program features. But even at that, you can benefit from the preset functions even though both models have no physical programmable dials.

However, you can take advantage of the preset features when you install the mobile app on your smartphone. The Vitamix App includes 17 presets included. So you are not going to miss out on the preset features

Self Detect

Both models offer the self detect container feature. The feature makes your blender smartly identify the recipe container attached to the motor base and automatically adjust to the required speed and time to achieve the task. This is to say you do not need to manually configure your machine.

Timer (Digital/Program)

Both models come with a timer. However, one is digital, while the other is programable. The A3300 programmable timer allows you to customise the needed time you want your machine to get the task fulfilled based on selected recipes, whereas the A2300 digital timer only shows you the expected time to achieve the task but you can’t choose yourself.

In this case, the A3300 wins because you will have the opportunity to adjust the time whenever you want.

Wireless connectivity

Both models have wireless smart connections enabled. They are Bluetooth enabled, so you can simply connect your smartphone to your blender through the Vitamix mobile app. You can get the Application installed on your smartphone by visiting either the Android Playstore or iOS App store

Easy to use & Cleaning

Both models are easy to use. They can be used to crush ice, grind coffee beans, tiger nuts and smoothies. They are also easy to clean before and after use. The A3300 has the self-clean function that only requires you to drop into the container a dishwasher soap, warm water and close the lid then run your machine for 65 seconds and then rinse with clean water that’s all.

On the other hand, you will need to manually clean the A2300. In this case, if I were to choose, I will prefer the A3300 because of its clean functionality.

Warranty & Price tag

Like every other Ascent model, the A2300 and A3300 come with an equal warranty duration. The duration for both machines lasts 10 years. The ten years warranty covers all body parts of your chosen model.

This means you do not have to pay to get the damaged body parts of your machine that comes as a result of manufacturing error replaced at no extra cost to you for the full 10 years.

Verdict:

Why I love the Ascent A3300

The warranty coverage duration is more than enough to choose any of these models. However, because of the self-clean and custom timer feature on the A3300, I will rather go for the Vitamix A3300 over the A2300. Plus you will enjoy the benefits of sleek design because it’s touchscreen-enabled.

Why I love the Ascent A2300

I love the A2300 because it’s more affordable than the A3300 even though they both have the same powerful motor. I’ll also recommend it because you can use it to make blends for a large number of people same as the Ascent A3300
