Coming over to the first part is their traditional-looking Appearance. Both comes with the necessary features like every other blender would, such as a motor, control settings and pitcher. These blending gears despite having a powerful motor, same features, are easy to use and from the same Explorian series, have some slight differences in specs such as in terms of motor power, Jar size, Warranty and lots more.

Kindly take a detailed look at how these Explorian series features and specifications could benefit you and move you to make the right decision of which blender to buy between the E310 and E320. Let’s compare Vitamix E310 vs E320:

Motor & Base

Despite the Vitamix E320 Explorian blender and the E310 Having powerful motors capable of making hot liquids, crushing ice into smoothies, and blending fruits into juice, they differ a little in terms of capacity.

Taking a quick look at the E320, I noticed the Vitamix E320 has a more powerful motor and an improved engine valued at 2.2 horsepower. Whereas the Vitamix E310 has a standard engine that is only 2.0 horsepower.

The good thing about Vitamix E310 and E320 is that they can both handle tough tasks. However, the E320 improved motor enables you to handle extra tasks like kneading dough to make bread and pizza which gives a better edge over the predecessor (E310). If you are more concerned about the engine capacity, the E320 should be your go-to.

Pitcher Size

Another major difference between the Vitamix E320 and E310 is the Jar capacity. While one is ideal for a small to standard family, the other is ideal for a standard to large family.

The E320 has a bigger low-profile pitcher (a 64-Ounce Capacity Jar) which is an ideal one for those looking to make a big batch of ingredients/recipes that would be enough to feed a large household. Whereas the Vitamix E310 has a 48-Ounce Capacity Jar to make a reasonable amount of food for a small family and household.

The E320 could be the best for many people because it has a bigger bowl and a large number of recipes you can blend in a single go. Likewise, the E310 also is preferred by some others because of its portable bowl and single-serve purpose.

Additionally, the E320 pitcher is wider and may not fit into every type of cabinet. Whereas the E310 can fit into most cabinets because of its narrow pitcher as opposed to the E320 broad jar.

Blade material

When choosing a blender, it’s really important to pay attention to the blade. This is also part of what I checked out for in the Explorian E310 and E320. I noticed that even though both Explorian series were made from the same quality materials, laser-cut stainless steel, the E320 has a larger blade than the E310 due to the container structure.

The Vitamix E320 has 4-inch diameter blades compared to the E310 with 3-inches diameter blades. This is because the wider pitcher of the E320 requires a larger blade to fit in the Jar and achieve excellent results from blends, whereas the narrow pitcher of the E310 requires a smaller blade. In this case, they both win. However, if I were to choose, I do prefer the E320 over the E310.

Control Settings

Both blenders have an equal amount of control features 10-speed dials, Pulse, and Switch buttons. The Variable speed control settings allow you to create a texture from your products.

Also, the setting gives you power and control at your fingertips. The pulse button also gives you the means to create a quick burst of power, and lastly, the On/Off toggle allows you to have control of the powering of your blender. Both models are equally good in control features.

Usability & Easy of Use

Both Vitamix E310 and E320 are dishwasher safe, these blenders are built to last, and they are easy to use as well as easy to clean after use. All you need to do after each use is to fill the jar with warm water and drop dish soap into it then blend the machine at the highest speed for 60 seconds and it will self-clean.

Attachments & Extras

Choosing a blender that gives all packages without having to source for it individually is a great option. Reviewing the E310 and E320, I found out both come with a cookbook, Tamper, and User Guide.

In addition to your blender, the Vitamix e320 blender + PCA pack includes a 2.2HP motor, a low-profile container, a User Manual, Recipe book. Also, you may need to pay a few more dollars to get the Low Profile Tamper and Blade Scraper Accessory included in the package. The E310 is not excluded from such attachments.

Warranty & Price Tag

Warranty is an essential part of choosing a blender, but not always the basics. Vitamix has been good at giving long free services for all of its blenders. Both models (E310 and E320) are not excluded. They come with a reasonable warranty offer. However, the Vitamix E320 comes with a long warranty service of 7 years compared to the Vitamix E310 with 5 years warranty.

Even though they are known to be budget-friendly, these models differ in cost of sales. Despite their affordability, the E310 appears to be cheaper than the E320. The reason is that the E320 offers improved motor, Jar capacity, and longer warranty coverage as opposed to the E310. This simply means you pay more to get more.

Verdict:

If you aim to get a cheap yet powerful blender with a standard pitcher capacity for a small family, the Vitamix E310 is the way to go. On the other hand, if you are looking to get an affordable yet powerful blender to make a large portion of food for a large size household, the Vitamix E320 would be much better.
